Seventy-one days ago, I decided that it would be a worthwhile endeavor to write some trivia questions every week, as a way to learn and retain trivia facts. Twenty-one newsletters and some 20,000+ words later, I’m happy with the consistency with which I’ve been able to write questions, and I’m grateful for the few dozen of you who are along for the ride.
“In this terrifying world, all we have are the connections we make.” The second-best part of making this newsletter is making a new connection by researching things (“whoa, the first time Batman appeared in a full-length film was in something called Batman Dracula? And it was made by Andy Warhol???”). The best part, though, is hearing from people that they learned something new, or were able to figure out a newsletter’s theme after a lot of thought. Everyone participates in different ways, and there’s no obligation to ever submit answers or do anything else, but I’m always grateful for the people who reach out about a day’s questions.
Our regular programming resumes on Monday, but for now, to all of you: Thanks for all of your support and for learning along with me.
